HHY & The Macumbas released their debut album, the ominous Throat Permission Cut in 2014. Beheaded Totem followed in 2018, via House of Mythology. Jonathan Uliel Saldanha acts as director of the band, which has functioned as a shifting group of friends and musicians who’ve long been active in Porto’s music scene.
